We wanted a floor that would be durable and waterproof, as well as something to add character and dimension to the space. Cost was also important to us, as well as ease of installation. When we discovered Direct Colors, we were so excited to see the number of choices and looks we could achieve with a small budget.<br \/>\nWe completed the project over 5 days. The first day (cleaning) took the longest, but the rest was super easy to do in an hour or so after work.<br \/>\nDay 1: Clean, clean, clean again!<br \/>\nDay 2: Etch the concrete<br \/>\nDay 3: Dye coat #1<br \/>\nDay 4: Dye coat #2<br \/>\nDay 5: Sealer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Personal Tips:<\/strong><br \/>\nWe rented an industrial dual mop and vacuum to help clean the floors &#8211; it was amazing!<br \/>\nMy #1 regret is not covering the unfinished concrete floors better when we painted. It took a ton of work to remove the dried paint and primer from the floor in order to prep for the dye.<br \/>\nAbsolutely get the test kit &#8211; the 3 different dyes helped us narrow down what we wanted.
