Types of Concrete Colorants

Water Absorption Test: Before choosing a colorant, it's crucial to test the concrete's readiness for staining. Pour a small amount of water on the concrete. If it absorbs within 5 minutes, the concrete surface is suitable for staining. However, if the water does not absorb in that time frame, the concrete will need further preparation, such as etching with CitrusEtch™ Concrete Etcher.

Acetone-Based Dye Stains

Acetone-based dye stains are highly versatile and widely preferred by professionals for correcting color imperfections. Their fast-drying formula and broad color selection make them ideal for achieving anything from subtle tones to bold, dramatic effects.

Vibrance™ Dye

Capable of producing solid colors or a multi-dimensional appearance, and unlike conventional acetone-based dyes, it offers UV stability for both indoor and outdoor applications.
