Types of Concrete Colorants
Water Absorption Test: Before choosing a colorant, it's crucial to test the concrete's readiness for staining. Pour a small amount of water on the concrete. If it absorbs within 5 minutes, the concrete surface is suitable for staining. However, if the water does not absorb in that time frame, the concrete will need further preparation, such as etching with CitrusEtch™ Concrete Etcher.
ColorWave® Stain
ColorWave® is a semi-transparent, topical, water-based concrete stain, designed to infuse concrete surfaces. Utilizing the natural porosity of concrete and its inherent moisture absorption, ColorWave® infuses concrete with micronized pigments, transforming dull surfaces into vibrant, variegated displays. PaveWave™ Eco Stain
PaveWave™ Water-Based Paver Stain is a semi-transparent, topical colorant designed specifically for concrete pavers and other rough, porous hardscapes. By taking advantage of the natural porosity and moisture absorption of pavers, PaveWave™ penetrates the surface with micronized pigments at a high concentration, delivering richer color saturation in fewer coats while preserving the original texture.
