Expert Application Tips

No wax outdoors

UV and rain break wax down too quickly—stick to acrylic sealers for exterior surfaces.

Once your stain + sealer have cured, apply ProWax Polish™ to interior floors. Re‑waxing is quicker than resealing, and you can spot‑wax entryways or other high‑traffic zones as needed.

Best Way to Apply

Coverage at a Glance

For a long‑lasting finish, apply two thin coats. One gallon will treat about 400 sq ft total (roughly 200 sq ft per coat) on smooth, troweled concrete. Very dense surfaces may stretch a bit farther, while rough or porous slabs can soak up more—have an extra quart on hand just in case.

Maintenance Made Easy

Clean sealed surfaces with a neutral‑pH cleaner and a soft mop or low‑pressure rinse. Skip harsh solvents or acidic cleaners that can dull or attack the acrylic film.

Heat Matters:

Never seal hot concrete. Wait until the surface cools below 90 °F (32 °C) to prevent bubbling or hazing.

How much sealer to buy:

  • Coverage depends on the square footage of your application.
  • The coverage rate is 200 square feet per gallon (2 coats) depending on concrete porosity. At least 2 coats are required.
