Driftwood is a soft, weathered greige-brown — the color customers choose when they want concrete to read as wood or as aged stone rather than as concrete. It is one of the few colors we carry in all five lines: 411 Antiquing™, 711 Portico™, 511 EasyTint™, 511 AcquaTint™, and Vibrance™ Dye — so the same color works on a stamped patio, on pavers, and on an interior floor.

The wood-plank illusion

King Sealing, LLC finished two small wood-plank-stamped patios in Driftwood Antiquing™ with EasySeal™ Satin. On a plank stamp, Driftwood is doing the whole job — the grain is in the concrete, but the color is what sells it as timber.

A weathered Colorado patio

Colorado weather had pitted this patio. The repair came first — patching compound tinted with pigment so the fills would not read as gray patches — then stain by sprayer and sealer over the top.

The lesson from this one is about pressure: light and even, whether you are sanding or rolling.

A sun-beaten overlay driveway pad with a stamped compass rose that had almost weathered away. The field went back in Driftwood and Cafe Royale; the compass was picked out separately in Aztec Brown, Crimson, and Black — plus Wheat, which we no longer stock. Generous coats and a proper seal did the rest.

Two tips worth repeating: wear spiked sandals after antiquing so you do not print the surface, and wear an N95 while you seal — the fumes are heavy.

A 2,000 sq. ft. stamped entryway

Neglected, uneven from exposure and damage, and large. Careful pressure washing plus multiple coats of stain and sealer brought it back over three days — the trick, per the customer, was letting the roller do the work.

Driftwood on pavers

On pavers, Portico™ is the right product. This driveway used five Portico™ colors — Driftwood, Aztec Brown, Khaki, Terracotta, and Yukon Gold — with each paver stained individually and every edge run in Driftwood, then finished in EasySeal™ Gloss. It ends up matching the porch.

Eight hundred square feet of faded stamped pool deck. This one ran long because the concrete was porous and old sealer had to come off first — measure carefully and buy extra sealer for a porous surface.
