Ask for red concrete stain and you can mean two different products. Milano Red is the warm brick-red in our solvent and tinted-sealer lines — 419 Antiquing™, 719 Portico™, and 519 EasyTint™ — and it is what every project in this gallery uses. 615 Red is a separate, brighter red in the water-based ColorWave® line. Milano Red is the one to pick when you want pavers or stamped concrete to look like fired brick; ColorWave® Red is the one for a cleaner, more saturated red on an interior or smooth slab.

Brick pavers with a Charcoal edge
Driveway and front porch pavers stained in Milano Red EasyTint™ and edged in Charcoal EasyTint™. The red brings the texture and pattern of the pavers back; the dark border is what makes the whole entrance read as designed rather than merely cleaned.
A scored patio in three warm stains
A scored concrete patio worked in Driftwood, Pumpkin, and Milano Red Antiquing™, applied to leave the color variegated rather than flat. The scoring gives it texture; the three stains keep any single tone from taking over. (Pumpkin is no longer in the Antiquing™ lineup — Cinnabar or Persimmon in ColorWave® are the nearest current equivalents.)
Faded paver pool coping
Two pool surrounds where the coping had gone chalky and pale. Milano Red Portico™ puts the color back and seals the surface, which matters more than usual around a pool.

Milano Red Antiquing™ on the deck with Tweed Antiquing™ on the coping — a warm red field against a soft gray-brown edge, which keeps the red from feeling relentless across a large surface.
Milano Red as an accent, not a field color
The last pattern worth stealing: use Milano Red only on the frame. On a large driveway, a Charcoal Antiquing™ field with a Milano Red Portico™ paver border gives you all the warmth of the red and none of the risk of committing a whole driveway to it. This is the safest way to introduce red to a big surface, and the easiest to change later.
