Radiant reveal: a hydronic radiant floor
After installing a hydronic radiant floor system in a new-build basement, this family wanted to show the slab off rather than cover it with carpet or LVP. Coffee Brown and Desert Amber, applied wet-on-wet, gave them a marbled floor across 1,100 square feet.
Tips: “Rent a ride-on floor scrubbing machine that also sucks up water — it really saved our backs. And embrace the imperfections of your concrete; don't expect perfect results on a floor that wasn't perfect to begin with.”

For a seasonal hunting camp, this homeowner cast their own concrete countertops and stained them with Coffee Brown, Desert Amber, and Seagrass. Six months of testing later — with leftover test pieces becoming park benches — the countertops steal the show.

Desert Amber, Seagrass, Coffee Brown, Malayan Buff, and Blackish built the multi-tone field, and gold leaf highlights the stitched crack running through it.
Tips: “Do your best on prep, but don't stress — I totally over-thought it. Have a helper; I did it by myself and it was A LOT. I filled some divots with concrete patch and some with epoxy — they take the stain differently, and I'd use all patch next time as the epoxy is too shiny compared to the rest of the floor.”
