Preliminary Testing

Before using the product for your entire project, try it out on a small, hidden area of the surface you'll be working on. This will let you see how it looks and if it's the right fit for your project.

Pre-Application

• Clean the Surface: Sweep the floor to remove loose dirt and debris. Proceed to mop thoroughly, ensuring all dirt is removed. If old wax is present, it must be removed. The floor must be completely clean before proceeding.
• Dry the Surface: After cleaning, the floor must be fully dry before applying the polish. If the floor was wet during the cleaning process, allow it to dry for 24 hours to ensure no moisture remains.
• Reapplication on Previously Waxed Floors: For floors that have been previously waxed and now display a cloudy or hazy appearance, it's necessary to strip the floor. Use ProWax Polish™ Remover to eliminate old wax and finish thoroughly before reapplying wax. Refer to the ProWax Polish™ Remover Technical Data Sheet for detailed instructions.

Preparation

• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment as recommended in the Safety Data Sheet.
• Protect surfaces not intended for polishing by covering surrounding areas to prevent accidental application.
• Avoid using tape on concrete surfaces before or after waxing, as adhesives and plasticizers can interfere with ProWax Polish™'s effectiveness.

Tools for Application

• Microfiber Push Mop: Efficient, thorough application on large surfaces.
• Lamb’s Wool Mop: For large areas, smooth finish.
• Trim Pad: Precise application in tight spaces.
• Foam Mop with Wringer Attachment: Controlled application, easy excess removal.

Application

• Apply ProWax Polish™ at a rate of roughly 500 ft² per gallon for efficient coverage.
• Dampen your applicator in warm water and wring out excess moisture before use.
• Start application at a far corner of the area to maintain a clear exit path.
• Wet the applicator in ProWax Polish™ and apply the first coat in one direction only.
• Angle the applicator toward the inside edge to manage excess wax runoff.
• Ensure a thin and even application, re-dipping the applicator in ProWax Polish™ as needed. Overlap each pass slightly until the entire floor is coated.
• Maintain wet edges to minimize overlap marks.
• Note: The wax may appear milky when applied but will dry clear.
• Allow 1-3 hours between coats, with two thin coats recommended for best results.
• Test the coat hardness with your thumbnail; if dents or scratches are visible, allow more curing time before applying additional coats.
• Apply the second coat in the opposite direction, following the same steps.
