Amazing Concrete Driveway Makeover
Talk about a driveway facelift! That’s exactly what this DC customer gave their 15-year-old concrete paver driveway. They used paver stain, tinted sealer, and high-gloss acrylic sealer. It doesn’t even look like the same pavers, does it?!

Project Info:
- Project Completed In: 10 day(s)
- Estimate of Square Footage: 1100.00 sq. ft.
- Project Description:
We stained a newly poured concrete patio with the easy tint (maple and aztec brown). We originally tried to use paint rollers but that was a mistake. The paint rollers absorbed a lot of the stain so we went through it quickly and ran out of the maple and had to order more. We bought a paint sprayer and that made a world of difference! It was so much easier, faster, and more uniform (see the before and after pictures). Overall things went great and we were able to save thousands of dollars doing it ourselves. - Personal Tips:
Buy a paint sprayer! - Direct Colors Products Used:

- Estimate of Square Footage: 600 sq. ft.
- Project Description:
I have stamped concrete that needed stripped and power-washed (this was a project of 13 years of stain and sealer from other vendors materials that needed removed), It took at least a month from being only able to work during nights and weekends and non-raining days. Otherwise I had almost a week in a 1/2 to stain and finish waiting for a sunny/clear day (we get lots of rain in Pittsburgh). I think it took a total of 5 days cause I ran out of materials and needed to re-order. and the concrete was so porous I needed three coats. Stain dried fairly quickly and sealer took two days in between to dry applying two coats. - Personal Tips:
Don’t be hesitate to put that third coat on to achieve your look. I got exactly what I wanted and so happy and proud. I am one person (a woman) who was able to take on this project and do it alone (never once have I lifted a gallon of stain or applied it, and if I can do it, you can too! - Direct Colors Products Used:

- Project Completed In: 10 day(s)
- Estimate of Square Footage: 150 sq. ft.
- Project Description:
Our home is 16 years old – the patio is stamped concrete. After years of getting quotes from contractors I found direct colors and decided to give it a try. After some practice areas – I picked my colors and painted each square to keep the “stone” look. Followed with a sealer. It looks amazing! - Personal Tips:
We did extra coats to give deeper color. And never judge a finished color until the sealer is applied. - Direct Colors Products Used:
Antiquing stains – charcoal, Aztec brown, black, cinnabar, khaki, tweed and cafe royal. With solvent based acrylic satin sealer.
Other Products Used:
Shur line Handi Painter edge and corner paint pad from Home Depot. It was perfect for painting each square separately
Stunning Stained Pavers Driveway
Check out what this DC customer created with four different Portico™ paver stain colors. Then, they followed up that earthy color combo with some acrylic sealer. The pavers on the driveway almost match the porch – how cool is that?
