How to Neutralize Concrete Acid Stain

  1. Before starting, put on spiked shoes to avoid leaving permanent footprints on the un-neutralized surface.
  2. Spray ProClean Neutralizer™ evenly over the entire surface and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Use a scrub brush or a low-speed floor buffer with a scrubbing attachment to scrub the surface.
  4. Use a wet-dry vac to pick up the residue, or alternatively, a cotton mop.
  5. Rinse the surface with water until it is completely clear of residue.
  6. Allow the surface to dry for at least 8 hours before applying a concrete sealer.

Pro Tips

  • Wear spiked shoes when walking on any concrete surface that has been etched with CitrusEtch™ or stained with EverStain™ concrete acid stain.
  • Break larger areas down to manageable zones (200-400 square feet), allowing enough time to finish neutralizing the surface before the solution dries.
  • Once ProClean Neutralizer™ has been applied according to instruction, you may then discontinue the use of spiked shoes.
