EasyTint™ Colored Sealer is a one-step concrete stain and sealer for exterior cement surfaces.
Restore faded exterior concrete color or quickly add color to high-traffic commercial floors. EasyTint™ is not paint. EasyTint™ remains translucent and do not completely hide imperfections in the concrete. The colors on the Direct Colors EasyTint™ Color Chart have been achieved on smooth gray concrete. Unless applied on a new and cured gray concrete surface, the tinted sealer colors will appear different from the color chart. The color will vary depending on the existing concrete surface conditions such as age, texture and previous color.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Use a
Concrete Cleaner and Degreaser to clean and prepare your concrete for staining. Paint, oil, and other materials on your concrete won’t allow EasyTint™ to bond. So, in order to get the best result possible, these materials need to be cleaned from the surface. A Cleaner and Degreaser, used along with a
Medium Bristle Scrub Brush, will easily remove any unwanted materials from your concrete. Once the surface has been cleaned and swept free of dust and debris, let it dry completely before proceeding to apply EasyTint™.
APPLYING EasyTint™
With any DIY project, safety should be your number one priority. When applying EasyTint™ or any concrete coloring product, it’s important to take precautions to ensure your safety, and the safety of those around you.
Wear a
Dust Mask and
Safety Gloves to prevent fume inhalation and skin irritation from direct contact with the stain.
Spiked Shoes should be used in concrete staining projects to prevent footprints and slipping when applying the stain. EasyTint™ must be shaken vigorously before application. The spiked Shoes will allow you to walk across and around your project area without affecting your previous layer.
EasyTint™ is available in 29 unique colors. A gallon of EasyTint™ is enough to complete a 200 square foot project. This amount of stain accounts for two thin coats for outdoor concrete. Shake the bottle of EasyTint™ to mix the colorant. Open the lid and pour the Tinted Sealer into a Pump Up Sprayer.
Shake the pump sprayer filled with EasyTint™. Use the pump to increase the pressure, and start spraying.
Spray EasyTint™ in an even thin layers across the entire concrete surface. Applying a thick coat will result in an inconsistent finish with tacky areas that may not set-up correctly. Be sure to shake the pump sprayer periodically to avoid clumping around the nozzle.
Allow the first coat of EasyTint to dry for at LEAST to 4-6 hours before applying second coat.
SEALING outdoor CONCRETE
Apply 1 - 2 coats of clear sealer over EasyTint™ for enhanced durability. Our
Solvent-Based, Satin Acrylic Sealer is the perfect product to finish your outdoor concrete stain project. To apply the Direct Colors’ Solvent-Based Satin Acrylic Sealer, first pour the product into a
Sealer Pump Sprayer. Put on your Dust Mask, Safety Gloves and Spiked Shoes. Evenly apply 1 - 2 coats of sealer. Allow each coat of concrete sealer at least 6 hours to dry before applying a second layer.
If staining older or previously colored concrete, it is highly recommended to test color before proceding to a full project.
