What EasyTint™ Does and How It Works

EasyTint™ is a solvent-based acrylic sealer with pigment dispersed throughout the product. When you apply it to clean, prepped concrete, the sealer forms a durable protective film on the surface while the pigment delivers rich, even color. As the solvent evaporates, the acrylic cures into a permanent finish that protects the concrete from water penetration, UV exposure, stains, and surface wear — and the pigment is locked into that seal, delivering consistent color across the entire surface.

The solvent-based chemistry gives EasyTint™ deeper pigment penetration into the concrete pore structure and a harder, more durable cured film than water-based colored sealers. For high-traffic exterior applications — driveways that handle daily vehicle traffic, commercial walkways that see thousands of footsteps per week, patios in harsh climates — this durability advantage is the reason to choose EasyTint™.

The recommended application is two coats, which delivers full color saturation and maximum surface protection. EasyTint™ covers approximately 200 square feet per gallon with the recommended two-coat application.

For heavily-used driveways, apply a clear solvent-based sealer topcoat for additional protection.

Stamped concrete — EasyTint™ colors and seals stamped concrete surfaces in one application, delivering rich color in the texture and recesses of the stamp pattern while protecting the entire surface. Popular on stamped patios, courtyards, walkways, and pool surrounds.

High-traffic commercial walkways and entryways — Retail storefronts, restaurant entrances, commercial building walkways, and hotel exteriors where durability and professional appearance both matter.

Concrete patios — Backyard patios, outdoor entertaining areas, and courtyards. EasyTint™ handles weather, UV, and foot traffic on exterior patios.

Concrete walkways — Front walks, garden paths, and commercial paths.

Concrete pool decks — Pool surrounds where you want color and protection. For pool decks, a clear topcoat with slip-resistant additive is required (see topcoat guidance below).

Exterior concrete stairs and ramps — Where slip resistance is needed, use EasyTint™ as the color layer and a clear solvent-based sealer with OxiGrip™ as the topcoat.

Cold climate and freeze/thaw zone applications — The solvent-based chemistry handles freeze/thaw cycles better than water-based alternatives. For exterior concrete in northern climates, this matters.
